In order to complete the transfer of a publishing company estate, you will need
to provide us with all of the following information:
- A copy of the death certificate.
- A copy of the relevant portions of the Will, assigning the publishing
interest to the heirs.
- A Letter of Testamentary, to show that the will has been probated and
there are no other claims on the estate.
- A W-9 tax form, signed by
the new administrator confirming the tax ID number.

Please note that HFA only represents the mechanical rights for its affiliated
publishers. You will also need to contact the relevant performing rights agencies
(ASCAP, BMI or SESAC) regarding their estate transfer procedures.
